fingal-head-beach-canvas-wall-art
Fingal Head Beach Canvas Wall Art

White sand and turquoise water meet at Fingal Head on the Tweed Coast of New South Wales, with bush and a small structure at the edge of the beach.

The sand fills the lower half of the frame with the sea behind it, so the picture reads as bright, calm and open.

The sand is so bright here that it is the hardest part of the picture to get right. If the exposure is too high the beach turns to a flat white sheet, so I held it back to keep the faint tracks and footprints in the sand.

Original aerial photography by Matthew Philip

Personally shot by Australian aerial photographer Matthew Philip on a DJI Mavic 4 Pro. The drone's 100MP Hasselblad camera records fine texture in the sand, water and bush, so the detail holds up right through to the largest size.

Where it hangs

The white and turquoise palette brightens a room without competing with it. It suits a living room, a bedroom or a holiday home, and works well in a pair with the other Fingal Head beach prints. It is a clean, bright piece for a room that needs light.

Sizes and finishes

Choose a stretched canvas ready to hang, or a black, oak or white framed canvas, in nine sizes: A2 42x59cm, 90x60cm, 100x50cm, 80x80cm, 100x75cm, A0 84x119cm, 100x100cm, 150x75cm and 150x100cm.
