About The Location

Plenty of photographers wait for the empty beach. I wanted the opposite — Eagle Bay on a proper summer day, umbrellas up, kids in the shallows, someone's boat anchored off the point, the whole bay humming.

That is the version people actually remember. Nobody's favourite memory of this place is of it being deserted; it is of the January their whole family was here. So I put the drone up mid-morning once the beach had properly filled, with the peppermint bush and the half-hidden houses behind it.
