This aerial photograph captures Mullaloo from above, where the shallows glow over sandbars and the coastline sweeps away in soft curves of blue and white.

Mullaloo is the family beach of the northern corridor. The widest foreshore in Perth sits behind the sand, the water stays shallow and gentle a surprising way out, and the Mullaloo Beach Hotel looks over the whole thing. The drone's 100MP Hasselblad camera records the beach in exceptional detail — sand ripples, swimmers and the shifting bands of turquoise all stay crisp from small framed prints through to large statement canvases.

I flew this on a clear day when the sandbars were pushing the shallows into those pale glowing greens. From the air, Mullaloo's scale really shows — the sand runs in long soft curves and the whole beach just keeps going.

The 100MP Hasselblad on the Mavic 4 Pro holds every detail — swimmers, ripples, the texture of the shore break — so the print stays sharp even at the biggest sizes. It is not the flashiest beach in Perth. It might well be the most loved.
